trading for a living

My choice is FX. Simply because I don’t need to get approval from anybody to buy or sell (since there’s no insider trading). With equity options and equities, I have to jump through hoops just to buy or sell companies that I’ve never even heard about.

I am a mini forex futures trader

we all do this. trade our time for a paycheck. trade freedom for security.

i social trade everyday on itsdEx, and i trade the markets everyday. the term “day trading” was a mysterious term that came to mean “quick buck.” real traders are the smartest people i’ve ever known. it’s what you know, confidence and know how bundled into one. it’s something you can master and have fun doing it.

even if you never completely do it, it’s worth every moment you can spend learning it. it’s how the world works.

for a few months was daytrading the FX retail spot market fulltime after demo trading and studying for about a year. While I learned a lot, I wasnt in net profit by the time I stopped. This is a goal of mine. The time I can put into this however is limited as I am in grad school and have a day job as a software developer. I will quit my day-job in a heartbeat once I prove to myself that I can make a living in this trading business. It seems to take a lot of fortitude to make it in this business. If anyone out there does this and can spare some time to mentor or share some advice with an aspiring trader, I’m all ears and eyes.
