Stop Playing Devil's Advocate

Years of debate team, model UN, political science classes… basically I am incapable of listening to anyone say anything without instinctively analyzing their argument, finding the flaws, and getting into a debate… even if I agree with what the person is saying! I think being able to see both sides is a good skill but I don’t need to exercise it everytime anyone talks.

The thrill I got from challenging others just to ruffle their feathers and take out easy targets is just not existent anymore. I’m no longer interested in being an instigator. This may have something to do with finding a person who has the same interest; the threat’s been eliminated. AWES!

...I disagree with people before really thinking about it. It has to be really annoying. I don’t know why I do it and it is time to stop.
