Come one, come all. Today I am giving away…for the low, low price of nothing!...these stupendous habits! (Notice the END in stupendous, and maybe a bit of stupid.)
-tensing the jaw
-tensing the lower back
-curving to one side while sitting
-ignoring the hunger
-tensing the ankle
-squinting the eyes and forehead
-shallow breathing
And thus, I am enrolled in the possibility of becoming the languid conduit for soothing wisdom…and other great flows I can’t even imagine. On Dasher, On Dancer, On
*relaxed brow/jaw/airway/shoulders—the axis of wonderfulness!
*relaxed back to ankle—aaaaahhhh
*spine floating straight toward the heavens….
Already, the conduit has given me a lovely idea for more aware movement…. 1 week ago

Some of these just need to be trashed. Maybe a nice pile by the door would be inspiring.
How about mental trash clearing? These are some things that are no longer my size and also too raggedy to give to others:
-impatience for results
-seeing how long I can get away with procrastination
-assuming the worst, esp. in others’ opinions of me
-slouching
-assuming things won’t get better
-perfectionism
-comparing myself to others
-escapism to avoid feeling my feelings
-judgment about judgments: the cycle
-frustration with myself
-wanting opposites
-self-sabotage
Perhaps I can trade these in for:
contentment
peace
perseverance
gumption
energy
clarity
trust it will work out
curiosity
detachment
optimism

I took at least 6 things to our local charity store (and I bought 2). Hmm, does this count as 4?
Next up: I can think of lots of things I want my husband to give up… For me, maybe another 2 shirts I’m keeping only for sentimental reasons or for “wearing around the house”. There’s that watch that doesn’t work after a while even after I replace the battery…. 23 months ago
