This was actually a rewatch – one of my absolute faves!

As with Spirited Away, I didn’t find this one as compelling watching as the others. It was very cute and fun though.

I wasn’t as drawn to this one as I was to the other movies so far. It was enjoyable to watch, but didn’t really leap out and grab me.

Eight movies down and only two to go though.

A very touching story. It highlights the other side of war. I don’t think I have ever seen a more emotionally moving piece of animation.

A really cool story, very different from the high-tech anime I usually watch.

Set during the Muromachi Period (1333-1568) of Japan, Mononoke Hime is a story about a mystic fight between the Animal Gods of the forest and humans.

On the side of the Animal Gods is San (Mononoke Hime), a human girl raised by the wolf god Moro. On the side of the humans is Lady Eboshi, building a kingdom for oppressed people by cutting down the forest for her iron-making operation.

In the middle of this fierce fighting for survival, Ashitaka, an Emishi boy, struggles to find a way for both sides to co-exist. But the fighting just becomes more and more bloody and all hope seems to be lost… “

Wow! This one had me all the way to the end. Loved it :) Five down, five to go – the halfway mark.

Wierdest thing – I entered this goal into 43 Things yesterday. This evening I came home and switched the telly on, looking for a movie for us to watch tonight. There on World Movies, starting in exactly 1 minutes time, was Cowboy Bebop. Needless to say, I dropped everything and watched the whole thing.

Four down, six to go.

It’s a vampire theme, so of course I’ve seen this one ;-)

Great movie. I borrowed the DVD out and ended up watching it a few times in a row.

Have also seen Ninja Scroll a number of times, thanks to SBS!

Two down, eight to go.

Have seen this film numerous times. It was the one that first ignited my interest in the whole anime genre.
