How I did it: I actually didnt "buy" the tv. It was goven to me by my best friend / roommate because her old roommate left his. That she got him for christmas. So hooray for a free tv. well someone got to the free tv before i could. there were a couple more listed but they either never responded or had someone else who was offering a better price.

well that was a bust. i think that tv was too big to fit in the area of my room where it would be housed.
there’s another listing on craigslist for a free tv a little smaller than the one i saw today. i’m gonna make a call first thing in the morning and see if it’s still available. i’ll take it even if it doesn’t quite fit. hey, can’t beat free.

that kinda counts? not really, i suppose… i’m thinking of getting a hookup so that i can connect an antenna up to my computer to at least get something… but for now, i’m surviving on Hulu.com and various other webshows

i’m in the process of scouting for TVs and so far i’ve come across a few promising ones on craigslist. i’d love to buy a new one but i’m no where near able to do this financially right now. so i’ve been doing searches for new TVs under $60 and a few people have replied. hopefully i should have in a couple weeks!
finally i’ll be able to watch whatever i want whenever i want without hearing people complain or change the channel.
