pray ~ really pray

He is in Basic Training for the Air Force and I miss him terribly.
He could only talk for a minute and I could tell he was reading the information he was giving me from a card. Information, by the way, that I didn’t need. I already knew what I was going to do, but I listened intently, just to hear the sound of his voice.
I could tell from the sound of his voice that he longed to talk as much as I longed to listen.

I wondered later if God longs for the sound of our voice in the same way. He knows what is going to happen and we don’t need to come to Him to inform Him of anything
just to enjoy each others company

Prayer throws faith on God and God on the world.
Only God can move mountains, but prayer moves God

it is an amazing thing
the power we have through it

I have been surprised the things that have come to pass in my life the passed few weeks because of prayer… big and little things

God is not a gennie in a bottle that we can ask a wish of and get our hearts desire, but as we draw closer to Him, our will becomes His will and therefor the things we want are the things He wants, so when we ask for them we can have confidence that we will receive them. when we ask with confidence, we will receive.

John 15:7
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

well. i’ve never really been one to pray, but in recent times, i truly think it would be a good time to start. so i am.

it has been a special time for me, a mixed blessing in a was. Yes I came here to care for my sick daughter, but I also came to care for my grandchildren. I had very little time with my grandson when he was first born two months ago, and in the time since I have seem him last he as changed so much. The girls have also grown and are starting to spread their wings and become little ladies. Yet they are still young and need many things

It tears my heart to see them in pain, to see them hurting and crying. I want to do all in my power to help them, to fix their problem and help them grow.

I was reminded of this when I was looking over all the note of prayer going up for my family. God love us far more then we can even comprehend, and wants only the best for us. Just as our we will give our children what is best for them when they as. so God wants to do the same for us

sometimes He is just waiting for us to ask

I saw prayer answered that surprised me
what it was isn’t the point
the point is, is that God answers prayer
but so many time we/I ask and only half expect an answer

OK, I guess I do on the big stuff, but God care about the day to day little stuff too

we have a Big God who wants to give us Big things
_{and little things}

for His Glory

how much power we really have when we pray, not because we can do anything, and not because we are speaking some magic spell or incantation …but because the God who formed us, that created the very air that we breathe, Is in control; and He want the best for us…wants to give us what is best for us, in the same way that a loving parent wants to lavish good thing on there children.

He’s just waiting for us to ask
