So I ordered some really cute shoes from Steve Madden.com because they didn’t have my size in the store. I was concerned about guessing my size since I hadn’t tried them on so I ordered a 7 and a 7.5. The shoes came while I was out of town and I was so busy when I got back that I wasn’t in any rush to try them on. After a week or so I settled on the 7.5 and planned to mail the other ones back – I assumed they had a standard 30 day return policy. I assumed wrong. The return policy was 14 days and it was day 15. Of course I tried calling and begging and pleading for them to let me return them anyways and of course they wouldn’t. I thought about it for a minute and thought maybe I could sell them on eBay since I knew their stock and sizes were running low. I’d purchased plenty of things before but selling had never crossed my mind. It was surprisingly easy! I set up the add, a week long auction, and after a couple of bidders one paid the full asking price. The money was in my account within days and I shipped the shoes off to California. When I told my roommates they couldn’t believe! Totally fun!
