This is a long-term goal. First, I will finish my degree here in Portland. Then, with a lot of hard effort…

Harvard, only the best school for the sophisticate.Yet, what does sophisticate really mean? Does the thought of an high IQ with grades prevail hard work and sacrifice? My life,my road, my journey to the land of the superficial geeks.
Definitely a lifelong goal and i WILL do it. Not really sure how i’m going to go about it, though. It costs so much and i don’t really need a harvard LLM to get a good job. Not to mention the little problem of actually getting accepted. This is something i would do for myself. Just to prove to myself that i’m good enough. And i don’t care if it takes me my whole life to achieve it.
I wanted to go to Harvard to do the Phd and JD programme. Can everyone give me some encouragement and advice? I have already got undergrad and master’s in some decent universities with some decent marks. I know it is a really hard programme, but I would like to do some good work, and I desperately need a good education to help me. Right now I am involved with a lot of things—charities, politics, post-conflict reconstruction… and it seems some structured education and network will help. Please, I need some encouragement. I work my ass off all day, and sometimes I just feel like quitting.
MariaOnSantOrsola is reviewing, revising and reviving her goals
This was a goal of mine once. It did not happen….however I graduated from 2 great Universities in NY, earned my master’s degree, and 7 years later started teaching here in Italy. Last year I went to Harvard for the Project Zero Institute for a week. I know this does not nearly count as earning a spot, working through 4 greulling years and graduating, but I met all those professors, and walked the campus….and got some awesome training. I even get to go back again this year. (I also got a certificate with the Harvard emblem on it….my immigrant mother was very proud!) It’s funny how life takes you on twists and turns. I guess I was meant to go to Harvard, I just had to go to Italy to make that happen!
