How to improve my singing voice
How I did it: Well, I don't know if I improved my voice completely, but I have gotten better at singing. I got Singstar on Playstation 2. It's like karaoke. It has 2 microphones and each Singstar game has 30 songs. It gives you the lyrics and shows you how high or low you're supposed to sing the notes - and whether you're hitting the right pitches when you sing. I realize that I probably still won't be able to sing on stage in front of a crowd, but I am better than I was before - and that counts as improvement.
Lessons & tips: Get Singstar! It's not the same as singing lessons or anything, but it's fun if you like to sing, and its an awesome game to play at a party with friends.

I’m in my high school choir, and I’m constantly learning new things about my voice. I really want to go for a Rachael Yamagata kind of style, I think it would suit me. I barely have time to practice since I live with my mom and dad and two sisters with barely any privacy, but I think practicing in the car helps. I’ll be in the choir again as soon as school is back in session (something I’m not relatively looking forward to, but hey, at least I’ll be a senior).

I’m thinking of singing in my church choir. I told my sweetie that if he joins, I’ll join.
I would really love to improve my singing voice. I used to be able to sing anything i wanted too. Whether it was soprano, alto, bass, whatever it was i could sing it, then one day i was practicing for a performance and I felt one of my vocal chords pop. It hurt really badly but i ignored it cause i had this performance the next day. So the next day i did the performance and some other really loud unexpected perfomances and lost my voice. So i started doing a self therapy, i stopped singing for two weeks, and i drank alot of hot herbal tea’s and stuff. But that didnt work, occasionally the pain will come back but my main problem is when i sing now my voice goes out where the only thing you can hear is an airy sound like aaaahhhh, it sounds like im blowing air out off my throat. It is so irritating because it just makes me wanna cry everyone used to say omg you have such a beautiful voice. Now i wont even sing a lullaby for fear of that airy sound. Then i joined the choir thinking they would be able to help me but i have another problem nobody can hear me at all. They say im singing barely above a whisper but i feel like i’m yelling at the top of my lungs still no one can hear me its very frustrating i have tried everything but i cant find anything that will work.
What a shocker it would be to my friends and myself if I were to show up to audition for the upcoming musical and were to land a role…
I want this.
I want to get the lead in my school musical next year, but I am going up against extremely talented girls for the part. I am a decent actress, yet my singing voice needs some work :/
I’ve had singing lessons before, but I definetly think my voice can be more powerful.

While I don’t have a bad voice, just one that needs training and better air support, I have been battling laryngitis, so I just don’t think this one is achievable anytime soon….maybe later but not now. Making room for more achievable goals.
