I started walking yesterday 1 month ago

I started walking (again) yesterday. I walked for one hour. I took a few rounds around the apartment once I reached back home and then i went back home to cook dinner for my husband. I need to go out today evening for some shopping and to my tailor, but still i dont want to miss the walk.

I love walking, but I haven’t been doing it. I miss the neighborhood I grew up in. My street is too busy. I’m too busy.

isn’t that necessary now. There was fresh snow last night, but it isn’t cold.

(edit: I just changed the wording of my goal from “bundle up and go for a daily walk” to “walk daily” and suddenly I’m in a whole group of people who want to do this. Nice!)

for me than lunchtime. Stuff is happening at lunchtime, but around 3 pm, things become more quiet. Most of users & co-conspirators on one project head home (they are almost all a couple of timezones east of me), and my main contact (in this timezone) on the other project picks the kids up from school around the same time. My lunch is in the middle of one of their most productive periods of the day.

yesterday, i went for a walk around 1:30pm. i walked all the way down newport ave and back, and the whole walk lasted about an hour. it wasn’t too lonely, because i had my mom’s ipod nano with me, and i had made a good playlist exclusively for the walk. it felt good to be outside in the sunshine, but when i got home, i noticed i had a couple small blisters on my feet! maybe it was the shoes i was walking in (classic vans slip-ons) or the fact that i don’t walk enough… whatever the case, i’m going to try to take walks more often!
