I started the Special K diet on monday, and i was good yesterday and monday, but I am sooo hungry today (maybe because im getting PMS-y lol). I had to have a 60 calorie Snack pack for a snack, which isn’t too bad. I was doing Weight Watchers and, to be honest, that working very well, I dunno, I may just do the rest of the wk on special K then do weight watchers, again… any suggestions?

I need to eat more hot food anyway and I think I should lose weight by changing my diet not with short term things like this. So.

Not for me 13 months ago

I cannot stick to the Special K Challenge. Unfortunately I need better food choices for my daily calorie restriction. I will still eat it for breakfast or perhaps a lunch one day but I am not able to commit to this way of eating. I am working out 6 days a week and I really need more protein and fiber in my diet than this cereal can supply me for 2 meals a day. Good bye Special K Challenge. I do not feel like a failure, i feel I made the right choice.

Day 2 13 months ago

I just started yesterday. My goal is to do this diet from May 18th until July 1st. I have a trip to LA the first week of July and I’d like to drop at least 10-15 pounds before then.

Yesterday was fine. Today has been a bit more of a challenge. I found myself starved at lunch and an hour after lunch I was already thinking of dinner.

I need to take more time in the mornings and breakfast instead of throwing something into my mouth on the way to work. For this I need to buy milk…

Going OK 16 months ago

Going OK. Breakfasting means that I will be hungry for the rest of the day though. But since that feels like I am getting thinner, it actually helps. Weird.

Here’s a spontaneous decision! I’ve had a box of Special K for awhile now. I just ate my first bowl and it wasn’t half bad. I think I’ll give the Special K diet a try. I mean, yeah, Ive read stuff about getting sick of cereal and yadda yadda… but seriously, what do I have to lose? After all, I do have an entire box of Special K to kill.

I stuck to the 2 bowls (breakfast and lunch) for the 2 weeks and to be honest i didnt really feel much of a change. I didnt lose weight, but didnt put any on either. The 2 bowls filled me up so i didnt snack much, i had my normal dinner and exercised at the same time but i didnt see the results i’d been expecting :( Maybe i’ll try it again..



The skeptical should just TRY this for two or three weeks! 2 years ago

I lost about 5 pounds the first two weeks, was able to do this for a couple of months, gained a few, lost some…It’s sort of hard to stick to at first, but if you do breakfast) cereal, lunch) cereal [add a snack and/or a drink of some sort during the day], and dinner) light and sensible, you will find that you actually DO lose weight. I didn’t do any extra exercise, either, I just went for a walk sometimes. I eat much more regularly now, but I have been able to keep off 10 pounds, which I lost because of the Special K challenge, with no additional, continued effort!
