"Learned how to actually make money selling items on eBay"

How I did it: I read everything I could online about how to sell on ebay, starting with my personal belongings I put up some auctions.

A few days later some of them sold, I looked at the ones that sold, and the ones that didn't to see the difference. The difference was how I was listing the items.

If I knew a lot about the item I wrote an appealing title and description, when I didn't know much about it (like the radio I sold) the stuff didn't sell well.

Lessons & tips: Find what's already selling on ebay. Check the completed auctions to see what people are actually buying. Once you know what they are buying ans spending money on, learn as much as you can about the product and get into the head of your perfect customer.

Resources: Besides researching online for weeks to gather enough info to get started I came across a free course that was really helpful in explaining the details everyone else seems to leave out. It's called "How To Sell Items On eBay" and it's free so you should read it if you haven't already.

    I have a stack of things ready to sell next to my bed. I have two bookcases with a few things that I want to sell. I have sold with success on eBay and I have had a couple of meager sales, too. My specific goal is to photograph all of the items that I have identified as “to sell,” download them into my pc, and organize them by potential date to sell; now vs. seasonal.

    the ugly purse did not sell. My first attempt has failed. But I shall not give up! I’m going to perform an experiment. I will relist the same purse at a much higher price to test my friend’s theory that people will buy it if it is overpriced. come on, someone bought a petrified turd, for chrissake!
