have to add this to my goals in order to post a general comment, so please forgive me for looking narcissistic today ;)

Here’s how my birthday went:

First of all, although it was a little early, no present could top meeting and spending some time with Surly, which I did Monday and yesterday. After 10 months and literally thousands of e-mails, posts, and IMs, we finally were able to meet this week. It seems funny to say that I finally met one of the best friends that I’ve ever had, but that’s the way that it was :)

The whole reason that I chose this week to take my vacation was so I wouldn’t have to work on my birthday. This was actually the first time that I’ve been “home” for my birthday in the 24 years since I moved to Colorado. I did some running around, overstuffed myself for lunch, and went back to my mom’s for a good nap. In the afternoon I went over to my sister’s and shared a few beers from a local microbrewery with her and her husband. This evening I was treated to a dinner of my favorite food (lake perch) by my family. All except my father (who I would rather NOT see) and my youngest brother (who was home sick with flu) were there. It was a great time and the food was wonderful- and I ate too much again ;)

And then there were all of the birthday wishes from my friends on 43T. 47 years old today- I’m WAY older than some of you and catching up to others ;) I am totally out of cheers but I want to thank you all for thinking of me and wishing me well today. You have helped to make this a very special day for me. Overall this is such an incredible site, most people are so supportive and really care about each other. I hope to share many more birthdays with my friends here.
