Kundalini awakened! 5 months ago

One should have a strong guru for kundalini awakening who has practised it for years otherwise it becomes difficult to comprehend. Secondly your intentions must be pure (impure body or mind is ok) i.e. kundalini must be awakened only for self realisation and to meet supreme being and not for some material gains.
Once kundalini is awakened, it would start from the lowest chakra and follow Maslow’s hierarchy model i.e. your basic needs/desires would be satiated first and then slowly it would move upwards.
The process is a long one and carries forward to next birth i.e. if you have realized a chakra in this birth, you could start from next chakra in your next birth.
Kundalini once awakened Supreme being would take control of your body, your thoughts, your life and would save you from wrong doings as well as repent for your past deeds. It would make you feel helpless at times but you should surrender yourself to the wishes of supreme being to enjoy and move ahead in life.

My Kundalini arising happened over about a month period after which people who had known me for years were amazed at how I had changed. I felt like I was moving up a spiral and I could see the top, enlightenment, if I only I could’ve kept going.

Now I realize that in my particular life it will happen in spurts. Mine happened because of the knowledege I had gained from reading and talking about spiritual concepts for the year before.

Now I must be careful to keep growing spiritually and not forget it.

It can be dangerous. Too much “spiritual lust” and a prematurely awakened kundalini may lead to injury, or more serious affliction.

Basically, if you’re obsessed or mentally “unclean” you might not be ready for kundalini.

Purification of your mental processes and bodily organs is recommended prior to kundalini work.

My personal experiences have led me to these conclusions.

I’ts also more difficult without a guru/guide. I’d much rather an experienced sage or what not be assisting me rather than I just “stab in the dark,” but so be it :P

Experiencing the Oneness - Kundalini Rising 2 years ago

I believe that I have been experiencing the rising of Kundalini (experiencing the Oneness) for many years now and; therefore, I was very excited to just now read in Donna Farhi’s very informative book, “Bringing Yoga to Life” about Donna experiencing, “an intense, indescribable rush of energy accompanied by a thunderous sound moving through my spine and out the top of my head”.

I would describe my Kundalini experience (experiencing the Oneness of all existence, if that is what it really is) as an intense, exciting, wonderful electrical charge that courses through my entire body!

It usually will happen to me at least once a day; however, I never know when it will happen. I do; however, look forward to each wonderful instance of it occurring. I have noticed that it can happen when I have seen, heard, done, thought or said something that I believe is something that has enhanced life in an ahimsic (Oneness) way.

Having believed that I have discovered the secret to happiness myself, I excitedly read through Brad Lemley’s article, “Shiny Happy People” in the “Discover” magazine, August 2006 edition, and I was glad that I did find a couple of references to that secret (the rising of Kundalini?) where Brad states, “Numerous studies show that the happiest people are those that devote their lives to caring for others rather than on focusing on themselves,”… and, “The more selfish you are, the more unhappy you are,”….

In the Christian Bible, in Luke 6:31, through the Golden Rule, Jesus admonishes us to, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.” In Buddhism, we are told that one combines compassion with wisdom to reach enlightenment. I believe, that if you were to really look at the teachings of all true religions you will find some form of the above two statements recommending that we try to only engage in ahimsic, life enhancing, words and actions. In other words, by our words and actions we are striving to make life more wonderful for all people, other animals and all life on Earth because we realize that they are us and we are them.

Marshall Rosenberg, PhD, the founder of the Center for Nonviolent Communication (www.cnvc.org), who has been involved in resolving verbally or physically violent situations himself (and also training many others to do mediation) for over 40 years, between police and the public, couples, intercity gangs, with prisoners, businesses, tribes, government organizations and even countries states on page 17, in his latest book, “Speak Peace in a World of Conflict, “While I am well aware of all the violence, I don’t think that’s our nature. In every place I work, I ask people to think of something they have done, within the last twenty-four hours, that in some way has contributed to making life more wonderful for somebody. After they think a minute I ask, ‘Now, how do you feel when you are aware of how that act contributed to making life more wonderful for somebody?’ And they all have a smile on their face. Its universal; most people enjoy giving to others.

“When we are aware of the power we have to enrich life, how we can serve life, it feels good (I believe that that “feeling good” is Kundalini rising in us!). I often follow up with the question, ‘Can anybody think of anything more fulfilling in life than to use our efforts this way?’ I have asked this question all over our planet and everyone seems to agree. There’s nothing that is better, nothing that feels better, nothing that’s more enjoyable than using our efforts in the service of life by contributing to one another’s well-being.”

I agree. I believe that the secret to having more happiness in your life is engaging in work that you believe is ahimsic. You will live longer! Have more fun! And suffer less debilitating, degenerating illnesses!

I hope that anyone who reads this, and everyone that you love and care about, will have Long, Healthy, Happy, Life experiences!

This experience has added a meaning to my life...... 3 years ago

I have experienced a swept of energy moving through my spine and spread like electric channels 2 years back when i was 19. I realised that it is realisation through experience that can actually throw light to all our confusions. God can be felt experienced and known through meditation. however i have no guide or guru to lead me through this new path. so i have stopped practising confused as to how this new path should be tackled and would be glad if anyone of you can guide me further.

Meditation 4 years ago

From my meditation experiences and research I have found that it is possible to arouse the Kundalini Energy. For beginners that want a good layman’s guide, try Glenn Morris’ book “Path Notes of an American Ninja Master”, I know it has a strange title, but it is full of safeguards to this type of meditation to prevent causing damage to your nervous system.

freaky deaky and unsettling 4 years ago

well, i wouldn’t say this is worth doing or not worth doing. it, in my experience, is something that happens to you rather than something you do. i, at least, didn’t actively or consciously pursue this experience which began in the summer of 2000. it’s an unsettling experience, to say the least, but certainly a rich and fascinating one. be VERY kind to yourself, whatever does or doesn’t happen. now THAT’S something worth doing!
