I loooved it. muchisimo.

The sea was calm. The heaving ocean swells began to be felt once we went a quarter of a mile past the harbour buoys. They lifted the boats up, then let them slide slowly down the boundless blue. We felt the ever youthful breathing of the sea.

A little behind us stood a line of fishing boats with idling motors. A coast guard ship slowed down as it passed seaward. Ahead of us lay the blue expanse, its welcoming vastness full of mystery and promise.

We only went a short way out into the ocean as we didn’t have spray skirts. On our return, we realized they didn’t usually let paddlers go to the ocean at all without roll lessons.
