The Alchemist
Today I finished rereading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This passage stood out:
You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it’s better to listen to what it has to say. That way, you’ll never have to fear an unanticipated blow.

It’s happenin…slowly but surely.
My heart definately feels alive and ACTIVATED.
I only have to let go of the doubts…
not be afraid of mistakes…
trust that a succesful life includes learning through experience!
Gain Confidence! Reading about the subject of confindence, uplifting and inspiring.
Letting go of dependance on oracle and divination…
very tough, but life seems to be supporting me to do it…
i’m scared though…
WHY??

I’ve decided to list my fears
If I ever run across these fears I’m going to stick my fingers in my ears and say “Lalalallaa la I’m not listening” and then I can mark this goal as done.

My heart is speaking loudly, probably louder than ever. Fear is a usless leaching pain that leaves me exhausted. I no longer have the energy to live in fear. I am marking this goal as done.

is speaking alot louder lately. For years we had lost touch. It’s like touching base with a lost friend. I honestly ear what it’s saying and I am listening. Now to tune in more. I do believe building a larger support system will really help with this goal.

This goal shall we say, is my big frog. Of all the goals on my list this is probably the hardest one for me to incorporate into my life. I have been a people pleaser for way too long. As intermittent as it was, it was. I am at a point in my life where my heart speaks loudly, so I can’t elude myself and say that I don’t hear it or know what’s in there. However acting on that message, that’s the Big Frog. I had never thought to make this a goal before let alone place it on a list that I have committed myself to. I might as well take the gloves off and go to work. I mean from where I am standing I have nothing to lose. Experience has taught me once you sell yourself out, you have nothing, so the way I figure it the reverse has to be true here.
Like anything else I feel that in order to succeed I must stay in the present and take this one step at a time moment by moment. Oh well, I’m diving in.
