Confirmed by my Union Stewart and the Center Manager. Don’t know how many years this took off my life – I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about forking out about $575/month in fuel costs to that other facility. Now I can actually focus on my job without this hanging over my head.
Right now I just want to celebrate!

Got notification yesterday that the company wants to send me to the UPS training school in NH (NEXT WEEK) and from there I would go to work at the facility across the state. Since all this professional chaos began I have been told by the Union that this will not happen. So…this is the moment I’ve been waiting for and what happens this week should decide it all. My Union rep. has been quiet about this for the past few weeks. Not sure why, but he needs to get off his duff and get to work on this. In the meanwhile, I’m putting in my resume at a library near here and hoping that this will help rectify the situation for me.
In the immediate future I’m going for a nice hard run and pound out some frustration. UPS can’t take that away from me.

my vacation weeks…at the other facility. So…the drama does continue. However, my union rep. says go ahead and give them your weeks, but you won’t be taking them there. I’ll be able to choose my weeks along with the co-workers I currently work with. I started to stress about this at first and then I had to laugh. This really is the most bizarre company I’ve ever worked for and I’m just biding my time until I can move on. Waiting for the results of my last interview. Help me God! :)

has speculated that I will likely stay in this center (that would be good news), but would have do work a split shift. UPS cannot take my job, but because my current position has been taken by another employee from another center and I won’t take the job in the other center, I will technically have no job. So, they would work me from 5 AM to 9 AM and then I would have to come back for a 5 PM to 9 PM shift. (That would be bad news) Sound bizarre? That’s because it is. What the public doesn’t know about one of America’s most successful corporations…
Finally leave? I’m working on it!

4 weeks later and still nothing is resolved. Not only do I need a vacation from the UPS House of Horrors, but I need to reach some success in my endeavor to finally leave them and actually get a position in the field in which my education supports. I have a resume flying all over the place – out of state and even out of country. UPS provides excellent benefits, good retirement, and decent pay – but it is a corporation and it is a machine. They don’t care a second for you personally. You must produce. End of story.

in fact eliminate goal #20 before this is all over. Driving 95 miles or 152 boring kilometers to work is not my idea of money well spent. This will have to turn out in my favor or UPS can kiss all of my job knowledge goodbye. It is significant and they know it.

been a strange week for me and I would love a glimpse of some normalcy here. Just can’t believe the bizzare situation I have going on at work. There has to be an out to me being forced to another UPS center in another part of the state.
