How I did it: Well, there's not much to do about it, I guess I just sat down every few days, sometimes each day and the things that came to my mind I wrote down.Of course sometimes I though there's nothing else to write anymore but to say the truth 100 Happy-Things aren't even enough to consider everything that makes me happy. :)Maybe I'm just a very happy person in general. ;) Read how I did it…
LifeOnTheBeach I'm getting closer
How I did it: I thought about what makes ME happy. not what makes others happy ABOUT me. I really couldnt sleep last night until I made a list of things that make me happy because something so very unhappy just happened; I lost my job after 2 years. It's unfortunate but focusing on what I like about life will most certainly get me moving in the right direction. Read how I did it…
Verygreencat is living here and now
How I did it: I just wrote everything that came to mind, but didn't force myself to continue when I ran out of inspiration. So it took three thinking-and-writing sessions. Definitely, after each time I did this I felt much better than before. Read how I did it…
Dipster is procrastinating
How I did it: To start with I thought I was going to really struggle. I didn't want to just pick silly fluffy things - like 100 different types of food (even if they would have been valid happiness making things) I got to about 30 and was finding it difficult to get much further. But I didn't have to rush and get all done in one day - even if I only added one entry each time that was OK. And gradually (and with a bit of sticky beaking at other lists) I… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I reflected and day dreamed, thinking about all the sweet precious moments and people that light up my day, and thought about life on a general and personal scale. This was rewarding in itself. Read how I did it…

Thing #1: Stargazing
The special thing about stargazing is that it’s just not an easy thing to do anymore. Between lights and pollution, seeing stars is a very rare occasion. I like the feeling of being able to look up and realize that there are countless stars in a sky that goes on forever. It’s mesmerizing, and when you just lay in silence and look up at that pure endlessness, it’s also incredibly peaceful. It’s a feeling I crave pretty much all the time.
Music. Maybe it doesn’t make me happy, per se, but it’s an incredible feeling to become absorbed in a song that identifies so closely to what you are feeling at the moment. It is the ability we have to connect with music that makes me happy I suppose :)
Yesterday I stopped by Ann Taylor Loft just to look (famous last words). I don’t do Ann Taylor often because of the cost but I had a 30% off coupon and thought I might find something on clearance.
I found a lovely taupe lined pencil skirt. It’s been a long time since I’ve worn a skirt but it fit me beautifully and I felt good in it too.
I said to myself, “Self, because of the coupon, if it’s less than $40, you’ll treat yourself.” You can imagine the smile on my face when I looked at the ticket and saw it was on clearance for less than $20!! OMG!! Then I remembered…in addition to the coupon, I also had a store credit so it was like getting it for nothing.
I left the store very happy, swinging that little Loft bag….

Music activities.
With the possibility of no drumline, I’ve just been hit really hard. And it’s made me realize, I love this. I don’t even mind the getting up at 6 for Jazz once a week, or the hours for drumline and marching band and pep band. Playing concerto’s with T-Mac makes my day, nailing a new piece is amazing.
