How I did it: This is one of the best self-knowledge exercises ever. Finding out what makes us happy let us realize that happiness is something very common on our lives. We just don't notice it and consequently don't value it. We should be more aware of our feelings and let the small little things make us happy no matter what. Read how I did it…
How I did it: First I tried to just make a list but I found it difficult to get to 100 as I was repeating things or listing things that were too similar. Then yesterday I came up with ten categories and wrote things for each category. The categories were: Things I see; Things I hear; Things I taste; Things I smell; Things I touch; Nature; People; Places; Activities (Things I do); Fictions (film, TV, books and games). I aimed for ten in each categor… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I believe the best thing about this list was the process of writing it. Though I was painstakingly slow in finishing, it really feels like this list has become part of my life. I was forced into some real retrospection, which lead to real-time world inspection. Basically I injected happiness through my eyeballs.[Considering how long I took to do this, I feel like I just scaled a mountain.] Read how I did it…

How I did it: I was bored, took out my journal, and just started listing 100 things that make me happy/smile/laugh. I just realized that many of the things made me content, but it was harder to pinpoint a good number of things that truly made me happy. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I wrote one little thing that made me happy each day, then examined it at the end of the 100 days - now I try to consciously acknowledge when one of those little things is occurring in my life. Acknowledgement and conscious gratitude are very powerful. Read how I did it…

64. naps. A nice nap in the middle of the day on a Saturday, or like today because I have off…best feeling ever and something to look forward to.
65. showers. To me, its like washing the day away. I have the regulated flow so sometimes I wish I didnt, but even still, that water flowing over your head and shoulders at the end of a long day is a great feeling.
66. Napster. Its what I listen to at work. I even set up “work” playlists depending on what mood Im in.
67. water fowl. I am going to go down toward Lake Erie today, closer to Canada to see what water fowl I can see. Ducks, loons, mergansers, scaups….they were the first set of birds I got interested in. Gonna take some time today to revisit my love for them. Hope theyre out…idiots with fireworks the last few days…ugh. Thats a common loon with its baby on its back. So beautiful.

I love when the holiday is on Saturday because I get off from work on Friday. I can schedule holiday stuff (and my sister’s birthday) for Saturday and still have 2 days for me-stuff.
First priority tomorrow? SLEEP!

66- I know this is not something to be proud of I mean, who really admits to liking pissing people off? But I do, when someone gets me really angry, especially when I’m at work. By acting like they are better than me or insinuate that I’m stupid or ruining my life by working as a cashier then I either A) act REALLY REALLY nicely, make them seem like a jerk and piss them off. Or I B) screw up their credit card transaction or drop their money on the floor. It’s vindictive, it’s cruel and I don’t even care about the karma. The three seconds of joy I get from knowing their a little bit more miserable is worth it.
