Lynli is Self improving money manager
I am going slower, but it is hard because I feel like I am holding people up. Even though I am technically going over the speed limit. For the last couple of days I have just stayed in the far right lane. With that I am doing good, but I did get a little frustrated this morning with traffic. But I guess this time of year it is only going to get worse so I will have to learn to deal. I also need to keep working at slowing down/stopping at yellow lights.

Lynli is Self improving money manager
I think after we have been driving for so long we become lazy. We get away with what we can and we are in such a hurry. I want to work on becoming a better and more alert driver. I went and got a copy of the drivers manuals. I am sure so many things have changed since I got my licence including a lot of new road rules concerning bicyclist. So th plan:
Review the manual.
Slow down, I will do my best to not go more than 5 miles over the speed limit. This was much easier to do when gas was over $4.00 a gallon because everyone was going slow.
Green light, go, Red light, Stop and not hitting the breaks, yellow light, slow down not go faster to make the light.

nith901 is actually being productive! without the stress
I’m finally improving! Maybe its because my dad makes me drive whenever I can. But it feels great. I think the hardest part now is the freeway, I’m always so nervous when I get on, because of the speed. I’m sure practice will help though! :)

i guess i just need more practice. I get freaked out after I make one mistake, and then I can’t drive properly after that. Not to mention its difficult doing everything at once…
i need to learn to stay calm, and focused when driving. Hopefully I can take the road test soon!

Much improved

Since last post, I’ve been driving a lot more :)
Having to take the highway to get to school has been the best thing! I’ve become more defensive and offensive… I’ve learned to “cut in line” without qualms or precipitating accidents , understand depth perception, and even developed a sense of direction! North, south, east, and west are no longer arbitrary terms to me. Now, the only time I get flicked off is if I cut someone off(which I couldn’t do before!). Also, I no longer care what people think about my driving. I feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel.

Before I started driving 5 years ago(I’m soon to be 21), I would say things like “Who taught YOU how to drive?!” or “What idiot hits a parked car?!” and the like. But now I’m the idiot on the road, who gets honked at (not in a friendly/flirtatious manner either ) and “flicked off” quite often. In fact, I’ve come to expect it as if those nice people were acknowledging my presence on the road.
I’ve had 2 “professional” driving instructors and my parents and YOUNGER brother. With that, at least 3 accidents, lost count.
Sometimes the turmoil is inward. Imagine being a senior in high school and still being picked-up after school by your mom; no different than a sixth-grader. Or being the only one “dropped off” at a party. In the college I went to most people didn’t know how to drive at all so…what(still compare yourself?!)
Conclusion
Being a incompetent driver is not funny. I need either to stop complaining and act or accept being driven to and fro for the rest of my life. I see that happening all the tme; don’t want that for me.

So, with that said…I have had my driver’s license for somewhere around two years and I hate driving but at the same time I love it and I find it to be very therapeutic. It’s not that I think I’m a bad driver. However, I definitely do think that I am a very lazy driver… What do I need to do to improve? MAKE BETTER JUDGMENTS, BE MORE PATIENT, PAY ATTENTION and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Am I suppose to be this amazing driver with only two years of driving under my belt? No. However, I need to step up to the plate and stop driving like a stupid ass. Yes.
