one thing i have wanted to do every time i walk into a restaurant is say “i’ll have the usual.”
it would also be awesome to just walk in and be greeted by people you know and on occasion be seated in the special back area where you wont be bothered… but maybe i just watch too many movies.
still quite awesome.

I used to eat lunch at this restaurant every day. I would have a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich, sitting in the same booth and reading my mail. Sometimes I would have an egg salad sandwich instead. All the workers there got to know me, and would sit and chat with me while taking breaks from working. I was sorry to see the restaurant close. I switched from going to a restaurant for lunch to going to the deli and then taking my lunch back to my desk. I sometimes miss the social aspect of eating out, but I get a lot more accomplished this way.

I’m a regular at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank. So alliterative. I’m one of the early morning crowd. It’s nice to have people to say hi to in the morning.
I love walking out past the huge neon sign by the front door. I take lots of pix of it.
those people who always come in
and i already know exactly what they want
a burger with ketchup, pickles, and tomato
i want that for me
