wear my retainer

well i failed to wear my retainer and now i have braces o nmy top row of teeth…. again.
im not enjoyin it to much
so seriously when you get your braces off, wear it, its worth it
once i get my braces off this time around im gettin two invialigne retainers to wear at night which i think will be more comfortable than others

My smile has become hideous.

i really cant wear it.
im supposed to wear it at night but its HUGE
its like a mouthpiece you wear for sports almost
very big and uncomfortable
but i went to the ortho yesterday and he could tell i hadnt been wearing it since the 3 months ago that i got it soooooo
i have to start wearing it or i have to get braces on my upper teeth again :(

Hey that’s a start right? My teeth were quite sore afterward. I think it really does mean that my once perfect, post braces teeth have shifted. Need to wear every night for three months then I can go back to the ortho and ask for a wire at the back to hold them in place permanently like my bottom teeth.

I really need to start doing this.
My teeth aren’t bad at all, except for one tooth. And no one can tell, but it just bothers me so much, so I’m definitely going to make this a habit.

i got my retainer yesterday and i am dying…

I had braces and when they came off I wa given a retainer to wear at night to keep them in place. I wore it for about a week then lost it or something. Found it again a few months later and it no longer fitted- my teeth had moved back into their original places :-0 Luckily they aren’t too bad, just a little higgeldypiggeldy

I would have no problem wearing it if it didn’t make me talk so stupid. People start to laugh when I talk…it’s really embarrassing.

Any tips for learning to speak right with a retainer?

If I don’t start to speak clearly soon, I know I will stop wearing it…and I paid too much money for my teeth to shift.

On my top teeth (at the back) like I have on my bottom teeth so that I can be free of my retainer. BUT the only way to achieve this is to actually wear the retainer solidly for about three months at night. I can do this, I just need to remember so from now on the retasiner case is going to live on my bedside table (as daggy as that is!) – afterall it is only three months!

so i have to wear a retainer every night for the rest of my life, but the problem is its so painful. the last few nights ive been preety good about, it exept last night. i didnt sleep at all so i didnt even bother with it.
