read Microserfs before 12/27

I was loaned Microserfs by a friend and had a blast reading it. I always wondered how much of the books is really what happens in side Microsoft.

Well, I hoped I could do it and luckily nothing conspired against me. The kids played w/ their new toys and I read.

It was definitely a great way to get into the proper mindset for the new job.

Microserfs is a great book though not my favorite work of his.

one of my absolute favorite books… That’s a pretty nifty idea reading it before your job starts. Definitely could put you in the mood.

I start a new job on the 27th and it’s become my tradition to read Microserfs before I start. Even though the job isn’t at a startup, I like to keep the feeling as long as possible.
