I’m going to “give up” on this, because I keep being given books, finding them at thrift stores, etc, etc, and my bookshelf is too small for them all now, and 30% of them are still in Alabama, and I don’t have the time…

...in other words, for many reasons, I’m going to give up on this for now. I might try again later in life, when I’m living somewhere more permanent and have gotten everything together… and have ROOM for everything.

So yeah. Sorry, bookies. You can wait. Talk amongst yourselves.

have been “cataloged” – mostly novels, some short fiction, some drama, one volume of poetry. There’s more to go!

I really feel like doing this.

I thought about making a list of every book I’ve ever read (which I saw someone else doing), but that’s pretty much impossible at this point, so I’ll consent to this instead.

I feel like I’ll get some kind of self-satisfaction from having this list. I can always refer to it, make notations or remarks about the book – if I got it somewhere interesting, as a gift, why I bought it, etc. I may sound a bit ambitious here, but if I work on it over time, it could potentially be pretty cool. I’ll have to force myself to keep it updated, though – that might be the hard part. We’ll see. I could even alphabetize it… oooh, numerous OCD notions running through my head… dancing like sugar plums…

I’m probably going to be moving all my books from AL to VA at the end of March, so I feel as if that’s a good time to take inventory. Maybe as I’m re-shelving them here in VA.
