A friend of ours owns a car that will be racing in the drag races near Bakersfield next weekend. My dad used to race on country dirt tracks when I was a kid, but I’ve never seen this type of drag race.

JH is going to get us into the pits and onto the start line, etc. What a way to go, huh!? I started out wanting to do it to get to know Jim better, but this is going to be fun.

We’re getting nice hotel room in Bakersfield. After reading How to Pick a Peach, I’m also excited about seeing the San Joaquin Valley with a more educated eye. 3 years ago

I attended the NHRA Summer (Spring) nationals. The cars were loud, fast and it was worth going if its in the spring. If they postpone it till July don’t do it. You will melt in the sun into a puddle of human Flesh. 4 years ago
