write a poem in afrikaans

Despite my best intentions, I cannot seem to master enough Afrikaans to even write a decent Haiku. I give up.

Perhaps I will come back to this some day, when I’m writing more poems in English, French, and Spanish than I can stand. But learning an entirely new language to write a poem just isn’t in the cards.

I added this to my things list, so that I can write a poem to my friend faith, that would be as special as she is to me.
