to a listserv and on Facebook. I will want to make a Thinking Day newsletter with reproducible greetings in the hopes that people will take them to their events and publicize. I will also try to get some World Centers people on board.

But a bunch bounced :( Oh well, about 200 got through. I will also be contacting some people personally to invite them to contribute and join.

I had a burst of enthusiasm for this goal tonight and spent two hours setting up the Yahoo! Group and typing up the guidelines/etc. for new members. Once my co-founder approves, I will make these a .pdf and begin inviting – up to 50 ppl. a day, until all in our address book are invited. And then we will also need to send some personal invitations to some people to post event information. Hopefully we will become known as a key place to get information about events in Guiding/Girl Scouting. I’m kind of excited :)

is this thing my friend and I were trying to get going where people could advertise international Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding events and find out about them. Well, we inputted all these addresses and were going to use a Yahoo! e-mail account and it just never really got off the ground, though there was a lot of interest. So I think we need to get it moved over to a Yahoo! GROUP so that it wouldn’t be so much work for us to forward the messages. And, we need to promote, promote, promote! Another summer project. Lucky for me, I will see the friend in a few weeks and we can talk about it in person.
