so far, i’ve been writing down why i’m stressed, setting aside time to study, and meditating for three minutes when i feel overwhelmed. listening to classical music or piano music while i study also helps to keep me calm as well which is nice :)

I am constantly under stress but I try not to show other people especially my workmates, how stressed I really am. I don’t panic or I don’t have uncontrollable outbursts either. But I do get burned out. When I’m burned out, I tend to go into a depressed state and I have trouble getting enough sleep at night. Stress really is very bad for the health. That’s why I’m putting it in my life list. Now I plan to do this by reading up on project management skills so that I’ll be able to delegate project priorities efficiently. I also have to improve my time management skill. I have to have a set goal of things to do for the day at the office so that I’ll know that I am accomplishing things and not stress about things I still need to do for the next day when I get home. Hopefully, with these in mind, I’ll be able to live stress free.

I think there is no way to manage all stress, so no ones stress will be completely gone. But with what I have now; a clear state of mind, a job and music, I have managing my stress down to an art.

Well, I’m a 16 yr old girl with the blood pressure of a 70 yr old man… I’ve had ear-aches that are bad enough to make my bones ache and head ache for two yrs striaght, and unfortunatly it’s related to stress. It’s the stupidity that always gets me, I’ll sit there and hate something that I find stupid untill I upset my self and then I’ll hate that I upset my self agian… AND I like to bottle it in. (shh, it’s a secret) I’ve tried stress management help books, and I do deal with most of it thru laughs and jokes but it only helps so much.

I’m going to my girls’ group tonight, and was thinking about what I’d say when I talked about how I was doing spiritually. I feel like I’m getting stress under control, and was going to ascribe this to my work load letting up. But that is not entirely right. I am also actively trying to keep loved ones (including me) front and center, and also trying to keep my boundaries cleaner. (Work load IS letting up. Still not solid, but feeling better.

The way I deal with stress, is by making jokes and making myself and others laugh, I’m rather good at it actually, the Navy is a stressful place when you see nothing but water everday, some days you don’t see sunlight or water :-/.
