sew curtains

I work for justice and I’m worried about curtains? Yes…sometimes working for justice is not a pretty sight when seen from the street.

So I bought this lovely fabric to make a shower curtain and I thought it would be so simple, just a few seams and voila!

well, 4 hours later I was really wishing I had settled on those overpriced white shower curtains from bed bath and beyond, and praising the industrial age. I don’t usually have much love for factories, but it was a comfort to me to know that somewhere there are people who make shower curtains for their living, and they are REALLY good at it.

I am not.

Now of course most of them aren’t fairly paid or treated, which is a big problem…. but…

I’m proud of the end result but it was so not worth the time!

My neighbors can still see my bedroom (and everything that goes on inside of it!) If you’ve seen the rest of my list and understand how my time is currently divided between work, school, and wedding…you will see how this will not happen until late this year, if at all. When will I learn to be more realistic about what I can accomplish (see “manage my time better”).

I couldn’t handle it anymore, I need to be able to change my clothes in my bedroom without being worried about giving my neighbors a show. Spent about $15 on each window so $30 all together. They look okay and now my husband can get a little better sleep during the day. Now I only need curtains for my living and dining room. I will try to make those.

I finished lined, tab-top curtains for the spare bedroom. Very exciting! Now I need to do the kitchen and bedroom curtains.

Cal got to see his curtains today and he said they are cool. Yeah!!!

Got Cal’s curtains done. I however did not do much, Em did all the work. Also I found some material like I would like to make some more curtains out of, think I will buy it.

I went with my step son today and he picked out the material and I am going to sew some curtains. He picked out Cars and solid orange, they will be so cute. Now I need material for all the other rooms of the house.
