Michael has dreamed of living on the West Coast for years. We have decided that before we reach that destination we want to live in different parts of Canada first. So moving to the West Coast may take 10 years… but it will happen eventually.

PushingDaisiesFan is feelin good after the gym!
This is a more long term goal. I’ve got to get a few things in my life sorted out before making the move, but I can’t forget about it.
I’d be interested in for now trying to get an idea of “where.”
Which part of California, or Arizona, or Colorado…? It’s hard to say without visiting. How a place “feels” is very important to me.
Maybe I should think about a vacation…
I’ve been here almost all my life and I’m just pretty done with it. I’m just waiting for my son to graduate from high school, but I don’t think it’s fair to move him now (high school is hard enough, remember) but as soon as he does, I am jumping on a plane and NOT looking back.
This used to be “live in the Pacific Northwest,” but I’ve expanded it, since California is a far more likely possibility…
I want, more than anything, to move to the west coast and start my life over with my daughter. Its going to be hard, as that will be thousands of miles away from my family and friends, but I feel it is much needed.
I edited to state that I should start small.
Finally did it! Drove all the way to Cali to start a new chapter. Definitely worth doing!
I was born in BC and ever since I moved away when I was 6 I wanted to move back. Three years ago I came out to Vancouver and travelled around a bit. Six months later I actually moved out here. It’s a great place to live. It’s expensive and right now the weather is crazy – but I love it and I have no regrets.
Spent most my life on west coast. Seattle to Corona Del Mar CA. Currently in Marin County (Sausalito) looking for a new place before the end of November. This is th worst place I’ve ever lived to be sure. AVOID Marin City Ghetto. Assault daily. 20 yr shot to death 2 wks ago, he’s 1 of 5 we’ve known. positive people remain, not enough of them. FANATICS RULE in San Francisco Bay Area. Laidback they are not. If down to earth, friendly and easy is what you desire, go farther north, Chico in Butte County-inland, Sonoma Wine Country, Napa. SF BAY IS high tech, high crime and high anxiety!!!We do rank highest cost of living in the state & country. Avoid Ventura, Orange Counties for the same reasons plus traffic.
