Get a Mentor

it would be great for me to have someone to look up to. someone i could go to for advice about all sorts of things.to have a different opinion and perspective. someone i genuinely trust to have my best interests at heart. i don’t think i’ve really ever had someone to look up to, or maybe to look out for me. i’ve always just got on with the business of taking care of myself. trial and error, fingers crossed hoping it all works out. but now i would love to have some guidelines from someone wiser as i progress and take my life to the next level. i do feel that this is a deep desire within me. how would i go about doing this? any ideas anyone?

While it’s not exactly what I’m trying to do with this goal, it does relate. We’ve just hired a business coach for our family business and I’m looking forward to seeing how it works out. Even though we’ve only had one session so far, I am beginning to see the advantages of having someone look objectively at life and business and motivate us to do something about the things we don’t like.

I think I am going to “make” my new boss my mentor. We have the same interests and he seems cool. So I guess this goal is done.

I have in mind. She’s a good selection and I’m stoked. It would be a drag for her to say know.

How exactly do you ask someone to be your mentor?

Maybe I should use this forum to be honest with myself. Not maybe. I will.

What I want ALSO, is a fab job and golden connections. And sponsorship.

I come with an unclean heart. If I have to fix this, the whole process will take a while. I’m only half kidding.

I’m needy. What do I have to offer? Friendship.

This goal came out of another goal I had on my list. I could benefit so much from having a mentor. There is so much that i still have to learn, and it helps so much to have a little guidance from someone you look up to. So, I’m in search for a mentor.. it seems that I need to make some guidelines of what I’m looking for.
