Getting Ready to Visit Zion 2 years ago

Woohoo! Tomorrow we are leaving for our trip to Zion and Las Vegas. The weather forecast appears near-perfect for Zion and a bit on the warm side in Vegas. (But it’s a dry heat, lol).

I’ve visited Zion twice before, once when I was a very small child with my parents, which I don’t remember at all, and again when I was 19 with my Uncle Dick. The visit with my Uncle was more the the “drive through” type of visit, where we only had time to see the major sights from the road.

This time we are planning to spend about three days there, so I will finally get to see the place in detail. I’m really looking forward to it!

    Absolutely Amazing 2 years ago

Zion National Park is probably my favorite I’ve been to-and that includes Yellowstone. If you go, hike Angel’s Landing, if you’re not afraid of heights. And the Narrows, where you put on waterproof gear and hike up a river, is an unforgettable experience, even if you do it in October like I did. I am definetely going back! The picture is a view from Angel’s Landing.

Went to angels landing.. don’t go there if you’re afraid of heights. The view is amazing and the climb there is fun!

No wonder the Mormon settlers called it Zion when they arrived, it is a truly beautiful valley and wonderfully preserved for visitors. If you can bear the exposure then hike to Angels Landing. If not there are plenty of great low level trails and you must see the Emerald Pools
