draw more often, even though drawing really intimidates me

I’m so glad I’ve found this goal because it means someone else feels the same way! I find drawing really intimidating-I think it’s because I’m scared my drawing will be really bad!-But it shouldn’t really matter should it? I should just draw for the love of it!

C painted the walls of her livingroom with chalkboard paint and bought a bunch of chalk. What a great party! I made one drawing – and outline of a girl’s silhouette, and then filled it in with words and drawings. She did the same: traced my silhouette and filled it in with beauty. It looked wonderful there on the wall.

I copied a diagram out of my sheep book, looks pretty good.
I should really do this more often …..

I drew some sheep and sent them to S. He deserves ‘em!

I drew a lot of sheep today. Some for I.M., some for me, and some for the trash can.

I’ve been drawing a bit. Just here and there. Mostly of sheep. I almost always like what I create.

I’ve been drawing here an there lately, mostly drawings of trees. None, yet, have been to my liking, so I just keep on trying.

I’m too busy for drawing right now, but I’ve been craving some quiet time with pen and paper. Soon, soon.

M and I went to the Huntington Library and Gardens yesterday and while we were there we toured Mr. Huntington’s newly renovated home. In the spirit of hoity-toityness, we made sure to draw while in the drawing room. Two rooms later we found ourselves in the small drawing room, so there we made small drawings. And yes, we sat down (despite the severe lack of furniture … so the floor simply had to do) when we reached the sitting room.

I made a foldie tonight with G. He was a butt, though, and he didn’t even try to make it look interesting. That’s ok though – it just made my parts look all the better!
