Instead of giving up on this, I’m coming at it from a different direction. I got an audiobook to listen along with reading. Hopefully that’ll help.

I met with a friend I’ve not seen in a little while. And she’s read books. Books, as in plural.
She asked what else I’ve read, and wasn’t really surprised when I told her that I’m about three pages ahead on the same book since I last saw her.
God.
I remember when I was younger the doctor gave me a drug that improved my attention span, and I was reading three books all at once, took me like two weeks. But the drug did turn me into a zombie with a caffeine addiction. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t.
Not all bad news though. I hear the book I’ve been reading for months is being turned into a film. I think I’ll just watch that instead.
