i would like world peace.Right now many people form other place are suffering because of the poplution in the world .Many people are dieing of world hungery , wars , toixic wast.The animals are getting extisin because of haunting them for there skin,head, or anything eles.
Earth is getting distory because of what mankind did .We built many things that aren’t safe for us n the world and we still bulit it nowing what dangers could be cause.In the United State,factores are being bulit.While the company who bulit them are dumping the toixic wast into the oceans,and land.The animals in the water are die or being form into this creatrus with two heads or with just one eye.Not just animals are afected by this also people,humans just like u and me are also liveing in a toixic wast dump were they cant do anything about it.While rich people are laying down on a bed of 1000 dollers or takeing a shower with there own money.While others are sufferign.

world peace is such a noble undertaking, but it seriously is so hard to acomplish. And even if everyday you don’t feel like the things you have done have made any diffrence, you shoudl wake up the next day and try agian.

find wonder, and you will find peace. if everyone finds wonder, then everyone will find peace. here’s a little something to get you going. if matter cannot be created or destroyed, where did that matter that imploded during the big bang come from? and whered that come from? and that?...if matter cannot be created or destroyed, then that makes us, that makes existance, that makes the universe and everything, the biggest magic trick ever! lol. it does tho right? haha. the truth is, we arent supposed to try and answer the questions that we are asking. we’re supposed to see the beauty in just being alive. we’re not supposed to be plastic wrapping ourselves and hiding from death. that happens to us all. i believe abe lincoln said, “it’s not the amount of years in your life, its the amount of life in your years”. he’s got it. almost. we gotta live, but we really ahve to start wondering. if we could actually start accepting that we dont know anything, if we actually started accpeting as a species, how cool it is to be, just to be, just to exist, then there would be no reason for not having peace. go! but remember, reality is not what you are told. god does exist, well, i wouldnt call it god, i’d call it the great mysterious. but i have had many experiences and i would enjoy VERY much telling you about any one of my experiences so please ask. (i dont classify myself under any religion tho).
but also, we need to start seeing as a people how bad the world has gotten. 9 million people die every year from hunger, this is more than the holocaust peeps. and it happens every year without anyone even knowing. i cant even believe that i didnt know this until this year. i mean, i always saw the feel bad commercials on tv, but i had no idea. did you know 18,000 kids under 5 die every day from hunger? and the vaticans got billions of dollars? and i turn on the tv and all i see is diet pill commercials for girls and stay hard pills for guys? if this was “normal” to you before you read this, i pray to everything that you will see how wrong this reality is. spread the sad truth along with the wonder! and we will have our world peace! you must do both.
also remember this, we have the technology now to live like KINGS. all 6 billion of us. lets do it. we have the technology now that 90% of our jobs are actually meaningless. we dont have to do them. we could spend our time being alive. we need to start wondering! we need to start seeing how beautiful this life thing really is. once we do that, peace will automatically follow
Being a peacemaker, you cant go through a single day without an overwhelming amount of violence. I’ll do what I can when I can. World peace is beyond my comprehension.
this is just a speech i did for history. but it’s one of the few things i’m proud of writing.
I chose to be a “Dove”, because in my opinion, war is pointless. Nothing good can come from it, because it is immoral and wrong. War is caused by all the negative things in society that are not needed and cause indifference and hate. Greed, power, crime, systems of belief, ignorance, sexism, racism, and apathy.
Greed can be defined as: “An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth.” Tell me, what good can come from this? Will we ever stop worrying about money even when we have enough to live comfortably? If people weren’t so obsessed with possessions and money, then we might have the opportunity to live in a peaceful society.
Power can be defined as: “The possession of control or command over others; authority; ascendency.” The more power governments have, the more insecurity and violence. Howard Zinn once said, “ There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.” Just imagine a world with no countries It’s basically impossible because we’re so used to the world being separated into different governments, laws, etc. Believe me, there are ways to settle certain disputes without getting violent and killing one another. It’s barbaric War is just a juvenile response to a disagreement.
Crime can be defined as: “An action or an instance of negligence that is deemed injurious to the public welfare or morals or to the interests of the state and that is legally prohibited.” Organized crime furnish societies desire for illicit drugs and illegal activity. These are some of the beginnings to a deviant society.
Systems of belief can be defined as: “ A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects.” The Seven Deadly Sins (sins that lead to damnation) are: Pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, and sloth. It’s ironic, America is supposed to be founded on tolerance of religious belief, but if so, why are we participating in wars that go against the fundamentals of religious freedom?
Ignorance can be defined as: “Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge. “What you don’t know cannot hurt you.”and “Ignorance is bliss.” are both untrue. “Those who are ignorant of the past, are destined to repeat it.” contributes to wars.
Sexism can be defined as: “Attitudes, conditions, or behaviors that promote stereotyping of social roles based on gender.” Obviously this is just an old antiquated idealism. A different gender does not mean better or worse results. It’s self-explanatory why this idea would be controversial. I know as a woman, that I would be offended if I was told I could not do something, solely due to the fact that I am a girl.
Racism can be defined as: “A belief or doctrine that inherit differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.” Another antiquated idealism A different race definitely does not produce better or worse results.
Apathy can be defined as: “Lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.” This is also untrue. We cannot just ignore the problems we have with other countries, more issues will develop. We must help countries, even if it does not benefit us and our economy. We must stop being selfish and use our wealth and power to better the entire planet.
If the world was rid of these negative things, it would be utopia. Just because war has always existed, does not mean it should always exist. Unless we accept that these main sources are the starting points of the wars of today and tomorrow, they will continue to happen in the future until there are no more civil disagreements. Every misunderstanding will be solved with bloody battles and unnecessary deaths. It’s our job to bring the world out of this plummet. Believe in peace, and maybe someday my utopia will become a reality.
Some people will bring you down on your dreams…This is one of them they can’t. Evrey one out there follow your dreams to do this.
Local Peace is attainable. World Peace is not. There are just too many people. And the “haves” won’t be willing to give away what they have to the “have nots.” People will always want better land and want to fight for it.
What I would like see is peace maximized. “Evil Doers” like G.W. Bush who go against world opinion and do whatever they want, trampling other countries… these are the greatest purveyors of world turmoil. Peace starts by not aggravating others.
No more war in the world, the XX century have seen distruction, death. It’s time to say stop the war, like the Pope say: “the guerra” don’t give advantages neither the loser nor the winner”
Tonight I watched Howard Zinn and Gino Strada on CSPAN2. The two were speaking about attaining world peace in general.
After watching Zinn lecture, I want to read his People’s History of the United States, and, I guess, his newest book, Just War.
Zinn brought up a supposed obstacle in the way of world peace about which I’ve always wondered: the notion that war is part of human nature. He said people often bring this up. He said that those who bring it up must consider that countries work so very hard to manufacture consent for war (forgive my appreciative allusion to Chomsky). Countries wouldn’t have to work as hard as they do, he said – or work at all – if war is part of human nature.
