speak Italian

Sto studiando l’italiano a scuola e l’anno prossimo vado all’universita per studiare l’italiano con il francese, che bello! Sono molto contento, l’italiano e una lingua perfetta.

Picked it up in college, sort of on a whim. Now that I live in Texas I wish I had taken Spanish but learning Italian is just one of those things that is fun enough, useful enough, and obviously pays dividends if you end up in Italy. Especially if you are an art fan. Knowledge of Italian truly unlocks the cultural treasures.

Much easier if you already speak another romance language. I would have had a much harder time if I hadn’t taken high school French.

I am not fluent yet but I can certainly get around Italy. Of course people are very cool even though I am not fluent just because I am an American trying my best to communicate in Italian. Italian is a fun language.

Never liked italian stuff. And then met italian guy. He studies russian and I study italian. He listens to “Kalinka – malinka” and I listen to Umberto Tozzi, Tiziano Ferro and Adriano Celentano.

I have a pen pal in Italy and I really want to speak Italian because of her. She inspires me to learn it!

I’ve been studying it for almost 3 years now; it’s forms part of my degree and by June 2009 I WILL be fluent because I’ll have spent a whole year there for my year abroad – yay!

I know. I’ll never stop wanting to learn another language. when I’m done with my german, i’m going to spain, then to italy, then back to france… I can’t wait.
