Completing one more goal (this one) always makes me feel nice – I like simplifying my list.
I hope I can continue to be aware of the little things I do to make myself feel good about myself without having to record them here. I guess I’ll just have to try and see. And if I’m successful, that’s one more thing to make me feel good about myself :-P

I’ve had a fairly productive day in the office without stressing myself out. I’ve set myself up for a manageable day tomorrow, and thanks to some pretty awesome ass-kicking at the end of my work day, I’ve also managed to go home without bringing any work with me (which I don’t usually do, but considered earlier today because I was slacking a bit). I’m set up for an awesome night of relaxing, reading, making good food, and watching The Office.

I got my haircut, and only 3 months after my last one instead of the usual 6. The experience and the result, especially since I’ve found a hairdresser who suits me well, make me feel great.

Took the stairs instead of the elevator. I usually do, but now that the good elevator in the building has been fixed again, I was proud of resisting the temptation.

Instead of taking a nap (which my body was urgently calling for for the 3rd time in two days), I went out ice fishing with my daddy. Not only did it please him, but I felt energized and enjoyed the time with him in the fresh air.

On Friday while driving back home I stopped to get fast food for dinner, but I wasn’t hungry for all of it, so I only ate the sandwich and half of my fries… exercising self restraint.
Saturday I allowed myself to take two naps, thus sleeping away most of the day (ugh) but feeling more alert during the times that I was awake (yay). Plus, one of my naps was with the boyfriend, which is always amazing :-)

I met up with my sister for lunch and ate way too much food, as usual. Thank God the caffeine I’m drinking is helping to combat the onset of a food coma.
Anyway, after lunch I wanted to take a bus back to the office. Partly out of laziness (because a half mile seems soooo far when you’re full and cold), and partly to get back to work more quickly. Well, there was no bus in sight when I left, so I just started walking. The more I walked in the sunshine, the better I felt about myself and the less full I felt, as well. The bus ended up passing me about 2 blocks away from my stop, so it wouldn’t have saved me more than a minute or two. Yeah, I love walking and the way it makes me feel.

I did a couple of loads of laundry and put away the laundry I had washed nearly two weeks ago, which makes me feel clean and productive. I’ll also be traveling lighter this weekend, with not having to take home laundry to do, and that always makes me feel good.

Unexpectedly receiving the “epiphany paper” in my inbox while at work, I printed it out, put in my earbuds and turned up some Iron & Wine to tune out the world, and deliberately read each word, letting the emotion flood my body. Taking that time and becoming aware yet again of the love he had for me… that was my ME time and made me feel pretty awesome.
