cincygal I'm doing paperwork.
A friend of mine from NYC knew Ruth Warrick who starred in Citizen Kane (was his first wife in the movie). I met her for lunch when I worked in D.C. and also she came here to Cincinnati to star in a special theater event that my friend and I put together. Citizen Kane is an amazing film. Absolutely worth watching.

How a bunch of lame “classic” movies made it into IMDB Top 250 is a bit beyond me. Hey, maybe my cinephilic culture is not refined enough, or maybe I’m not sufficiently thirsty for gratuitous grotesqueness.
If you liked “Citizen Kane”, go watch A Streetcar Named Desire. Pity the latter didn’t run over the former to spare us of at least one of them.

Managed to get a quarter of the way through before my fiancee got bored :p I’ll need to finish it while she’s at work. Excellent stuff so far though!

Incredible movie-one of the best ever made. Also one of the saddest. Beautiful images, harrowing emotions, expressionistic tour de force-an original American myth.

The camera work is genius.
This is a good movie. I watched it at a midnight showing with a couple pints of Bells amber ale and I fell asleep. Needless to say it wasn’t worth it, but I watched it again a couple years later and now it’s off my list.

It seems to be number one on every damn movie list, so I’m thinking it’s something I should see.
