I’m working on a project that will allow true music lovers and or FLAC enthusiasts to upload all their FLAC encoded files to an online portal and allow access to it via a browser and mobile.
If you are interested in doing some beta testing, let me know.

I’ve been very slowly making progress on this for the past several months. I’ve been ripping my CD collection into a FLAC library. What’s great is that I can give away a bunch of my CDs after encoding them to FLAC. I couldn’t do that with MP3s or Ogg ‘since I’m too neurotic to replace my CDs with degraded lossy files.

I want to get all my cds and recompress them as FLAC files. What’s stopping me getting started on this is:
[1] I give away my cds after I rip them.
[2] I haven’t any spare space to store the FLACs.
But in a few months I’ll hopefully be able to get a couple of terabytes in rackmount form and then I can start trawling the local music stores for all my nofx, afi, de la soul and quest musics.
The best thing about FLAC? You can never ever regret your choice of codec.
