I’m doing a modified version of Starting Strength and have been doing it these last 3 weeks. Its good! It leaves me knackered though, which I guess is good, and shows its working! 3x a week, at a gym I cycle to.

I hope the weather picks up, the last three times I’ve cycled into the gym in torrential rain =(.

What I need to do...  — 2 weeks ago

I need to be more disciplined…I need to get into a routine and get cracking on this whole working out bit! I want to…but geez! There never seems to be enough hours in the day to do all that I need and want to do. Maybe a schedule will work for me – I think I will make a schedule and try sticking to it! Hopefully that will do the trick. We’ll see!!!

Still going.

The 30 days of biking are over. I have only not ridden one day since I began this endeavor and that was yesterday. Today I have begun to work in some muscle building exercises.

I do not have a membership to a gym and feel that I don’t really need to hemorrhage money for something that I can do in my own living room. There is a wealth of knowledge over at Menshealth. By searching around over there I have picked out a workout or two that seems as if it will fit the bill. Mostly, the plan I am going to utilize involves only dumbbells and/or body weight exercises.

This is not to say that I am not going to continue biking. Rather the biking is an integral part of an entire body fitness program. For example, this morning I rode for 20 min and 5 miles. Then, at home, I a routine involving upper and lower body exercises. All told, with the bike ride and the routine at home, it took about an hour which is perfect. My body is slightly achy since I am using muscle groups that haven’t been used in I don’t know how long.

Last Night...  — 4 weeks ago

I met with a personal trainer…and she worked my butt off! Today, I am going to ride my bike…then walk my dog as a cool down. Looking into gym memberships and stuff of that sorts now! Hope I’m not too sore tomorrow…but if today is any sort of preview…tomorrow is NOT going to be good! : /

Ran and Yoga  — 3 months ago

I ran almost a mile today. I also did some yoga but I didn’t like my videotape that I got from the library and I need a real yoga mat.

This is also a tough one… I’d really like to shape up my body, but to do any serious exercise I need a) time and b) sleep, both of which are in dangerously short supply right now.

i just restarted doing the perfect push ups. every time i’m done, i feel like a sexy beast, and i never have to work out more than 10min every other day, it kicks a$$. i’m definitly going to stick with it
