We’re leaving for VT tomorrow morning. I hope I don’t forget anything.
Here’s what I’ll be wearing:

this is one week away. i’m quite a bit nervous about it actually. i had to take two and a half weeks off; first over the knee and then over allergies and sinutitis.
the allergies and sinutitis have been knocked into submission thanks to amoxicillin and flonase.
the knee? i dunno. i ran yesterday with annamaria08; 12 miles around atlanta. it felt great, but today it’s feeling kinda widgy again. i’m gonna stay low-impact and just let it rest. an extra run today isn’t going to make a huge difference anyway.
so anyway, i am nervous, but going to run it anyway. the good thing is we’re running it together so i know i’ll have support and motivation along the course.
we’ll see…....
And I’m not happy with how my training went. Never made it past 16miles – but I’m lining up and I’m gonna finish. See you there!

i took two of the midweek runs off because of some pain in my hamstring, but yesterday annamaria08 and i did a twenty. great run. we ran around atlanta and all in all it went VERY well.
i am really getting excited about vermont now.
you can read about the run here

was a great week of running. 36 total mile with the cornerstone being a 16-miler annamaria08 did on saturday.
feeling very good about this race right now.

so i just ran the first run training for vermont. call it a ‘recovery’ run. 2 miles at 0 degree incline on the treadmill at a relatively slow pace.
good news is that while the muscles are sore, the joints and ligament are all reporting in fine and cardio-wise i had no problems with the run.
all very good signs. things will stay slow for a couple of weeks, we’ll pick up for four rather intense weeks and then do a modified taper.
viva la marathon!
i’m crazy, aren’t i?

hard to believe it is time to start thinking about training for this.
bring on number 3. thank god it isn’t as hilly as georgia.
