I’ve actually stuck at doing this. I’ve typed up nearly 10,000 words of travel diaries, as far as 6 weeks into NZ trip. I’ve started scattering relevant photos around in the text to break up the tedium of typing. To be honest, it’s actually really lovely to be reliving these experiences, especially now I have a little distance from them and I’m back in London where it all began. It’s helping me to consolidate the lessons and root the experience in my life today- not leaving it as a slowly fragmenting memory and some untidy folders on my hard drive.
There’s no time pressure so it doesn’t feel like a chore.

So I’m back from my travels and have been collecting lots of quotes, pictures and thoughts.
I’m deciding what kind of book I will put together. I may write a travel diary style book, and do a more abstract style coffee table book as well, but I think the idea I’m most keen on at the moment is a scrapbook style coffee tabel book which is a chronological account of my trip peppered with ideas, images, anecdotes and quotes. Largely a personal memento/ gift for family and friends who are interested, but if it comes out well I might make a couple of copies to try and sell to see if others find it interesting.

I think I’d like to make a book when I’m back from my travels. A combination of my photos and my favourite quotes ( from another goal) and some bits of philosophy.
Kind of like a ‘what I found out’ book that I can reflect on.
Yay! Excited about this project.

It won’t be that hard to do once I have a solid set of pictures to use.
