I promised my EFY counselor that I’d read my scriptures daily so I will keep my promise and do so
carrying around a military sized book of mormon in my purse and it’s been good for me when I’m sitting in line at the bank or waiting to pick up my husband or any various moments like those. It’s helped and I will continue to do this as well as try and find moments of regular quiet study
I actually do this…my church emails out the daily scriptures so that by the end of the year, you have read the entire bible. When I have read the daily verses, I delete the email, when I get free time I go back and finish reading the ones that I have missed.
I’ve been so bad at reading my scriptures lately! If I don’t make time for it, it doesn’t happen. In the past when I have read them daily, I felt so good and everything always seemed to go smoothly during the day… especially when I read them in the morning. So I want to make time for them daily again, even if it’s only a verses. I’ll try to read at least a chapter a day, though.
since i’m up in the early morning hours with the baby already- i figure i might as well stay up in the peace and quiet and get some reading in…wish me luck
My girlfreind and I decided that we would read the scriptures together each evening for 30 min. or so. Before I found it hard to concentrate, now I look forward to it. Time well spent.
I am reading a bible verse every day now. Getting closer to it being a habit so I don’t have to think about it. :=)
I did well for a while and then stopped. I am thinking of five things to be thankful for every day, though I didn’t read the bible on a regular basis. I need to improve on that.
And read a verse from Proverbs and Psalms every morning. That should really put some perspective to my day.
