    Fort Melbert 17 months ago

We finally did it. The weather outside was frightful, it was a lazy Sunday and we didn’t have much going on. Fort Melbert was constructed in our living room and it was everything I expected it to be. We managed to include the television in our design and even our dogs seemed to enjoy it. The icing on the cake was ordering a pizza for delivery and then enjoying it within our fort. Sadly, the fort was destroyed a couple of hours ago, but it will rise again!

Okay, well, I built the fort. It actually isn’t that good, and it is actually in my room instead of living room, lol. It’s really small, and I’m currently trying to figure out how to make it bigger. :]
It will be soooooo cool when it’s taller, though!

It was really cool! I had candles and wine and wrote some very special letters to some very special people. My sweetie came home while I was still in there, quite a surprise for him!

I used to do this all the time as a kid 2 years ago

So when we were in Hawaii I needed to keep the kids busy and quiet in the two room hotel suite while my hubby slept in. We made this killer fort using the dining room chairs, sofa cushions and sheet. The kids were happy to sit and play inside of it instead of zone out in front of the TV. :D

I used to do this when I was about 7 years old in the summer holidays. I’d use drying racks, with towels and blankets. I forgot how fun it was.

Some friends and I finally built our fort. Two hours and dozens of boxes later it was finished.

The pizza box functions as a camouflaged door. We have a cardboard tube canon, a bubble wrap covered lookout equipped with a pair of binoculars, and a mailbox. It was an insanely fun project.

I made the fort with my four-year-old today. I used to do this with the other kids when they were little.
After dinner, we had a power outage for two hours. All three kids played in the tent, reading books with a flashlight!

Does doing it when you are a kid count? I use to do this all the time when i was younger – but i bet it would still be fun to do now too lol—my roommate and I have talked about making a fort out of our blacony and staying up all night telling old stories and listening to music – wow how fun does that sound teehee :)
