go to a concert by myself

Ugh, It kills me every time I ask my parents, “Can I go to this concert by myself?” I already know the answer.. “NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT, YOUR TOO YOUNG, AND YOU CAN GET RAPED OR HURT!!!” blah, blah, blah.. shoot me. What do they think I’m going to do? Flash my boobs to some guy, and let him take me back to his car? I believe I am responsible enough to go to a concert on my own.

I REFUSE to go to concerts with friends because, none of my friends are into the music I like.. they always ruin it.

God almighty, let me go to a concert on my own.. FOR ONCE???

Step one in becoming my own person and not caring about what others think of me. It’s funny how my first 43-things entry will be about the Backstreet Boys. Or not, really.

Done Mika and Jason Mraz after that. Will attend Jason Mraz Sept 22nd again.

You’ll always meet people there, and if you don’t you’ll have fun just enjoying the music, singing along, dancing your feet off and cheering your heart out because there’s no one there who will care. Because no one knows you.

I think I’d rather attend a concert by myself than go with someone who doesn’t like the music. idk.

Yay. I’m my own person.

I just got back from the Spice Girls show. :) My husband did not want to go, which I understand…I have made him sit through Dixie Chicks, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, etc.! :D It was interesting. I felt odd sitting there by myself and enjoying the music. At one point Geri said “hug the person beside you”, and I was left out of that. Hahah!

I’m glad I did it! I don’t know if I’ll do it again, but I proved that I can go places by myself and not freak out. :)

strange and yet a good experience. i don’t need others to see a play, a movie or go to a concert with. i’m a pretty good company for myself… even though i missed have someone to talk to, someone to share that moment and my oppnions about it.

how can i be the only one with this goal.
