swim a mile non-stop

Today I swam 750 yards in open water, and you know what? I liked it :)

Today I’m swimming 600yds nonstop, however I’d say 700-750 is closer to what I can do at a slower pace. If I keep up my training, I’m sure I’ll be at 1 mile in a couple more months.

I went today and got in 400+ yards. Next week it I’ll go for 700. Wish me luck.

For a while I was swimming everyday and even got my distance up to about 1000 yards, but after a couple of weeks I lost motivation. Now I’m starting again with a clear goal in mind. I want to be able to swim 1 mile non-stop. I’m going to start as soon as the Fall semester starts up again and I’ve got access to my old pool. Also, instead of planning a trying to swim everyday, I’m going to plan on a definite 3 days a week schedule. As always, wish me luck.

went swimming in the river today. going to try to make it an everyday thing. (getting used to the cold is necessary for all those open-water swim races i’m gonna do!)
