How I did it: I went into my local piercing shop, after having researched dermals on the net. Asked them if they used a dermal punch or needle to do it, as I have heard that the needle method is frowned upon in some circles. They use punches, so I said, "Let's do it!".I got three on my arm. He drew the dots, we moved them around a bit til I had them where I wanted them, then he used a dermal punch (a bit like an apple corer) to m… Read how I did it…

I’ve got two dermal piercings just below my collar bones, but I’d really like two more diagonal from the ones I’ve already got. They don’t hurt at all, so it’s not that reason I’m waiting. I just need to find an extra $90 laying around!

My favorite piercer(<3) had lowered the price on dermal anchors a lot this November month, so that really gave a reason to get the sternum I had thought so much about done. Me and a friend went down there, and she was first. It was quite painful to watch her getting her dermals, since one of them was through scar tissue, so it was a bit hard.
When I was pierced, it didn’t hurt as much as I had imagined it would, so I was pleasurably surprised =D THEY’RE SO PRETTY!!
Now I just have to take care of it and make sure it stays in place. I don’t wanna loose my sternum it’s absolutely amazing.
It was the worst piercing I have ever gotten, it hurt times a million, if I had to do it again I would not, but I do love it!
I WANT ONE! I have 10 piercings, but this one makes me real nervous! I have had my tongue pierced, the monroe, nose, tragus, conch, anti helix, and a few more boring ones. I was just wondering if the pain was comparable to any of these, I know it is different for everyone. But how long did it take to put it in and how did they do it. I want my sternum done.
I had my sternum done about a year ago but it wouldn’t heal so i had to take it out leaving me with a scar in the shape of a !. i did some internet research and deicded to get dermal anchors. had my first one done on monday. i love it :D i’m getting my other one done in a few months. the girl said i was the only one to talk all the way throught it. lol
does anyone know how long should i keep the plasters on it for??

To add to my collection (numbers 25 and 26), this month i decided to get dermal anchors in the corners of my eyelids. They are totally awesome and would recommend them to everyone. Just be sure these are absolutely what you want, cuz once they’re in it’s kinda hard to change your mind and take them out. Also, they’re a bit pricey…mine ran about $120 for the pair. Anyway, you’ll love them if you’re a piercing freak like me. Peace!
Woohoo, well, simply story, i went to my piercer in search of some new beads/balls for my Madison (surface piercing) to which Val took one look at my piercing and said, thats weeping and its looks bad, but, i have something that would suit you better, dermal anchor’s .. they looked amazing, so, i plonked myself onto her chain, she slipped my old surface bar out without any probs, then popped in my anchor, we were thinking about using the old holes where the surface bar was but due to the weeping, thought better of it, so i have it a few mils under where the bar was, the scars from the bar dont look too good, but my anchor looks stunning! I had no problems at all with this little beauty, no bleedint, no bruising and best of all, no swelling or pain! I totally reccomend them!
:0)
i been my piercers guinea pig. she been learning dermal anchor implanting, and has been making me a bit sore. i have had one in my arm that got knocked out, one in the middle of a circular tattoo, which looks great and a couple on my sternum from earlier this evening. i plan to get my vertical bridge replaced with them when she has had more practice.
