Build raised beds

Last week, I bought lumber, top soil, peat moss and compost. I built the frames for two 4ft.X 4ft. raised beds and filled one of these with soil yesterday evening. These are at my home. Prior to that, I also built 2 4ft.X 4ft. beds and 2 8ft. X 4ft. beds and filled/planted them at work. This gives a total of 128 square feet of raised bed planting space.

My vegetable garden currently is about a quarter of an acre, and I’ve used raised bed techniques before, but they weren’t framed. I like the idea of having a number of small raised beds for things like lettuce, greens and carrots. I still have time this season to build a couple and get some late-season crops going in them.

I’m supposed to do 100 push-ups b/c I didn’t get this done soon enough. Brad said he’d take it over and it’s still sitting in the driveway. Hmmm…
