But RAINY!  — 2 months ago

    Worth doing!

I went and it was a fun experience because it was easier to find good preserves and sauces and stuff, but I was disappointed in the actual amount of meat and vegetables available for two reasons. One, it was rainy and not as many vendors where there as usual, and two, I got there late so it was possible that the good stuff was gone by then, but I got some great honey! Also some hot sauce and fresh sausages straight from the pig farm man!

I want to eat fresh food from a farmers market, and make it part of my regular diet. That would be awesome.

It was neat to walk and see all the different vendors. The food was fresh and tasted great.

4 of us went over & had a wonderful time.

For lunch I had a bbq meat sandwich made by the local butcher. also enjoyed a tasty new season toffee apple.

The historic buildings were beautiful too!

I go twice a week to a farmer’s market in Dover, DE. I love getting fresh vegetables and fruit. I miss the farmer’s market I went to in Columbia, MD though. They had homemade peanut butter chocolate fudge to die for and French pastries. The variety of things for sale is not as wide in Dover. I also especially miss the Farmer’s Market in Hollywood, CA where I could get a huge variety of items including Korean vegetable pancakes and Cajun Chicken and Japanese yellow tomatoes and amazing flower bouquets.

but not to shop.  — 2 years ago

    Worth doing!

wound up having to work at one because the coffee shop I was working for at the time needed someone to go and hand out coupons for free coffee.

Nice atmosphere, fun times flirting with farmer daughters, overall, I’d recommend it.
