Get the SNES version (that comes with Super Mario All-Stars) so that you can save your progress. I beat the NES version years and years ago, but it’s easier this way because you can at least save and shut down when you get frustrated. And not many people have three to five hours to devote to one video game.

it’s one of the all-time greats

It’s so much fun, and you have such a feeling of satisfaction once it’s done. I did it not that long ago.
