my fiance and i went to a taping of the show last night. if being able to see such an awesome show wasn’t rad enough, the other audience members were so much fun (we even made some new friends while waiting for the show to begin) AND i got to be in the same room as colin firth – WHILE he was talking about his penis for a solid five minutes. oh, and it was SUCH a beautiful spring day, which only made everything twice as nice.
this is definitely something i’d love to do again.

We are going to be in NYC over Easter weekend and into the following week, but The Daily Show will not be taping that week. Alas.

Jon really is witty… it’s not just a script. He let the audience ask him questions before the show started, and every answer he gave was hilarious. He’s shorter in person. If you go, make sure to check the website for tickets frequently… sometimes one or two will pop up the day before or even the day of. It’s much better to get a ticket. And bring a sweater, because the studio is freezing.

I actually got tickets for one of the shows in January (we were tentatively planning a New York vacation), and then… we ended up vacationing elsewhere. Drat! One of these days…

my friend and i got tickets back in 2002. stephen colbert was guest-hosting (long before the colbert report!). lewis black had a segment. it was hilarious.

i got tickets and im going in march, ive been watching the daily show since i was in 6th grade and now im 17, i hope i can get in without being carded… though people always say i look a lot older than i am
